Sgarbi's daughter requests a guardianship: "He's incapable of pursuing his own interests."

The request to appoint a support administrator for former Undersecretary of Culture and current mayor of Arpino, Vittorio Sgarbi, was filed by his daughter Evelina Sgarbi's lawyers, as her father "is no longer capable of pursuing his own interests." Vittorio Sgarbi himself confirmed this from Tuscany, where he is currently based.
Following the application, filed through lawyer Lorenzo Iacobbi , notifications were sent to relatives and close associates: his sister Elisabetta , his children Carlo and Alma Sgarbi , and his partner Sabrina Colle . According to some rumors, the first hearing has been scheduled for October 28th.
Vittorio Sgarbi has been unwell for some time and has had to undergo a period of hospitalization at the Gemelli Polyclinic in Rome to address the most critical phase. He hasn't been seen in Arpino, where he was elected mayor, for months, and the administration is led by Deputy Mayor Massimo Sera . "I spoke to him five days ago; he said he was much better and that we would meet in Arpino by the end of the month," Sera says. He also reports that he found Sgarbi combative as usual: "He will oppose the possible appointment of a support administrator."
